In 2004 I was diagnosed with a heart condition known as idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy. On May 3, 2005 I suffered what seemed to be a heart attack. I spent the next 5 weeks being worked up for a heart transplant at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. I was told that I needed to lose 100 pounds to be a better heart transplant candidate.
They introduced me to Pacific Laparoscopy and Doctor John Rabkin. This blog is the results of having a weight loss surgery known as vertical sleeve gastrectomy.
To get the full use of this blog you need to start on the first blog entry Heart Attack or Not? May 2005. Let me leave you with three pictures that tells everything. Do not hesitate to contact me using the contact Jeff button in the upper right corner.
Here I am at my heaviest then before weight loss surgery and at my 1 year checkup.
